24th/25th May - Music Divine - tutored by Richard Lindsay
Music Divine, for voices, viols and recorders, will concentrate on English renaissance pieces which have the word "music" in the text, including of course the great Music Divine by Tomkins, and will examine how the word-setting illustrates the text It will also include music by Weelkes, Gibbons, Ramsey, Byrd and Campion

7th/8th June - The Symphonie and early Hurdy Gurdy - tutored by SteveTyler
The Hurdy Gurdy and its predecessor, the Symphonie, have a somewhat rustic and populist reputation. The aim of the workshop is to show the importance of these instruments in medieval music, both secular and sacred.

4th/5th October - Super Flumina Babylonis - tutored by Alan Lumsden
There can be few texts which are emotionally more evocative and set more frequently than Super flumina Babylonis. The weekend will be spent looking at a number of renaissance settings (Bob Marley is thus excluded). Although the settings are originally vocal sympathetic viols and recorders will be welcome.

All courses run for two days starting at 10.00am and hopefully finishing by 5.00pm
