The Lincoln Concert Orchestra was formed in 1944 by John Bonner, a lay vicar in the Cathedral Choir. The Orchestra has continued to develop ever since, bringing a wide range of music to the community. It has a long history of concert successes, the proceeds of which have always gone to local or national charities.

Whilst the Orchestra has a nucleus of experienced players, it is always keen to welcome new members of all ages. Dedication is the prime qualification for entry.

We play a wide variety of music and are always pleased to welcome new players of any age and ability - there are no auditions.
