Unlike many ancient cathedrals, Lincoln has no historic endowment to support its choir and organ music.
In 1993 the Lincoln Cathedral Music Fund (Reg Charity No 1033089) was set up to help preserve Lincoln's excellent music tradition.
The annual cost of running and maintaining the instruments is considerable, but with the support that isreceived from those who love the music of the Cathedral, from various Trusts and with the hard work and dedication of our Music Fund volunteers in creating and runninig events, funds are raised to help keep the music alive in the Cathedral.
