Since the formation of the Kesteven (later Lincoln) Music Club The Lincoln Music Club (formerly the Kesteven Music Club) was originally formed in 1969 by Geoffrey Greed, and over the period until early in the 21st century arranged over five hundred concerts in the city; the club's proudest and most memorable concert by Vladimir Ashkenazy in the Lincoln Suite at the Lawn. Geoff's final concert was in November 2002

The Lincoln Music Club was re-formed by Colin Dudman in 2003 and ran successfully for four years presenting monthly concerts and lectures. The club was re-launched in 2013 and its aim is to retain the ethos of the original group which is to enhance the cultural life of Lincoln by promoting and facilitating the performance and appreciation of music.
